In a motorcycle community there are many names that are often used by its members. This special acronym usually wants to make the feeling of being a biker even more intense. As someone who says he’s a motorbike kid, you definitely have to understand the terms used by your automotive area. Don’t let it be because you don’t understand, it makes you dizzy yourself.
Now, we will discuss terms that are very often used when joining motorbikes. This can make it more fun for you when motorbikes are the key when participating in conversations with fellow motorbike enthusiasts. What is it called?
Sunmori
This one term has recently become popular among motorcyclists. Sunmori has the meaning as ‘Sunday Morning Ride’. As the name implies, bikers will hold riding activities whether they are large or small, which of course will be tried on Sunday mornings.
Satmori
If you try Sunmori on Sunday morning, then if you try Satmori it’s different, friends. Satmori is short for Saturday Morning Ride, another name for riding on Saturday mornings. Broadly speaking, satmori activities are similar to sunmori. Bikers want to travel around the city enjoying the streets until the day or especially in the evening.
Night Ride
Night Ride itself when referred to in Indonesian is driving at night. If you try sunmori or satmori in the morning, if you try the night ride it’s the other way around. Generally, bikers want to ride with their motorbikes at night, wandering or heading to special destinations.
Before sunmori, satmori, or night rides, usually the bikers talk to other riding friends. Now before meeting and riding in unison, tikum, another name for the joining point, is commonly used to ensure the position is collected. Usually, this tikum position is like at gas stations, coffee shops, favorite workshops, and others.
Kopdar
Kopdar is an acronym for “coffee earth”. Generally, this term is referred to as a get-together activity among club bodies, communities, to an automotive forum.
In contrast to the tikum, who when they have gathered, they continue to ride directly, the kopdar itself usually just stays silent in one place. The illustrations are coffee shops, restaurants, coffee shops, workshops, or places that allow for gathering
Kopdar itself is usually tried once a week each, various days are selected. This activity can be filled with dialogue, introduction of the latest body, or simply discussing activities that will be tried in the future.
Kopdargab
Medium is similar to kopdar, but on a larger scale. Kopdargab itself is an abbreviation of ‘coffee earth combination’ which is accompanied by more than 1 club or community. The important purpose of kopdargab is to meet with other communities at a specific point which in general strengthens the bond between the community.
National National Security
Jamnas which has the purpose of being a national entrepreneur is an activity that is more focused on a big meeting, big event, or big crowd. Usually tried by a club or community with a national ratio, or simply having chapters in several regions in Indonesia.
Wirakarya in the KBBI is also referred to as a meeting, early said wirakarya is very popularly used for scouting activities to political party activities. But at this time entrepreneurship has been commonly used in community activities that are held in a grand manner.
Rolling
This is being related to the 3 designations above. Usually, rolling will be tried after the kopdar, kopgab, or jamnas activities. Rolling itself is an activity to circle a certain area with a distance that is not too far away.
Road Captain(RC)
For those of you who have often toured, you are certainly no stranger to this title. That’s right, RC is also an acronym for Road Captain. He has full responsibility for the smoothness and safety of his touring people. In some cases the RC also has the responsibility to manage security administration such as a line permit message from the police and as a guide for the intended position.
Safety Officer(SO)
Safety Officers usually have an obligation to make sure the route to be taken is a comfortable and passable direction. He wanted to talk intensely with Voorijder in managing the dexterity of the tour body’s motorbike. Which of course as a SO must understand the atmosphere and the route to be passed, usually the SO position will be located at the very front after the RC.
Voorijder( VO)
Voorijder has a critical task during the tour, which is to lead the group’s expedition by managing the dexterity of all bodies throughout the expedition with input from SO, SW and RC. They will usually give signals (hands and feet) to provide people’s safety and must be chained to all tour agencies behind them.
Sweeper( SW)
This is also being entered asofficers when the tour is running. The key objective is to ensure that the ranks of the slicks are not scattered. Generally, sweepers are divided into 2 types, early middle sweepers and back sweepers. Sweeper is often located on the right side to set the line. It also works to emphasize and clarify the orders of a voorijder.
Tourjib and Tourgab
If you are part of a particular community and club, you will generally be asked to do Tourjib and Tourgab.
Tourjib is short for must tour. All agencies must try to participate in tour activities with various expedition destinations. It can be near, far, or far away.
Unlike Tourjib, Tourgab has a purpose as a combined tour. Usually this activity is attempted by several communities to participate in a special activity and not all community bodies must appear.
